2013 - 2020 Based at my mothers business in Woodside, CA. I did barn chores, rode client horses, taught lessons, conducted show warm ups, show course walks, and took on some barn manager duties.
2016 - 2018 I rode and trained on the weekends, but I was no longer competing and riding full time as I was at college.
Fall of 2020 - Fall 2021. I worked for JH Sporthorses in Sacramento, CA. I taught up to 20 lessons a week, and was the assistant rider and home trainer for the head coaches. I rode a lot of young horses, worked with stallions, and also learned a lot about the hunter/jumper world. Working as a medical assistant precluding me from going to shows.
I am currently based in Huntsville, Alabama, establishing my own teaching/riding business.
I am insured to teach and train through Equisure.
I am used to being around animals of all kinds, and my heeler cross, Lily, and New Zealand Strong Eye dog, Merlin, are often found with me. Outside of horses, I enjoy crafting, anime, music and cooking.
I am a certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) and have EMT training. I worked for two years at an Urgent Care Center. I hope to never have to use this training while working at a barn, but I appreciate having the knowledge and experience!
